June 1: Anantnag Police continued their anti-narcotics drive by destroying illegally cultivated cannabis plants at Marhama in Bijbehara. A case has been registered under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act), and further investigation is underway.
Police urged the public to cooperate in the fight against drug abuse by sharing information about narcotics-related activities and assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.
