New Delhi, May 8:The Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed on Wednesday that it carried out precision strikes targeting only terrorist sites on May 7 as part of Operation Sindoor. The announcement was made by Air Marshal AK Bharti, Director General Air Operations (DGAO), during an official press briefing.“Our fight was against terrorism and the terrorists. Accordingly, on May 7, we targeted only the terrorist sites. However, it is unfortunate that the Pakistan Military chose to support the terrorists and turned it into a personal conflict,” said Air Marshal Bharti.

The IAF official also presented an overview of the air defence systems employed during the operation, noting their effective performance in neutralizing potential aerial threats. According to the DGAO, the air defence network played a key role in safeguarding Indian airspace throughout the mission.
