Srinagar, June 2: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a change in weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days, with widespread rain and thunderstorms expected from June 3 onwards.

According to the latest weather advisory, the weather is expected to remain generally dry on June 2, although brief showers may occur at a few places towards the afternoon.

On June 3, a spell of rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds is likely to affect many parts of the Union Territory. The wet weather is expected to intensify on June 4 and 5, with one or two spells of rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds forecast at most places across Jammu and Kashmir.

The MeT Department has further predicted a spell of rain and thunderstorms at a few locations on June 6.

Residents, particularly those in vulnerable areas, have been advised to remain alert and follow official weather updates. Farmers and travelers are also urged to plan their activities accordingly in view of the expected weather conditions.

The Meteorological Centre said it will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as required.
