Handwara, Oct 1: Handwara Police on Wednesday carried out a raid at the residence of Gul Waheed Bhat, a resident of Kohinoor Colony, Handwara, who is reportedly affiliated with the proscribed organisation Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).
According to police officials, the raid was conducted in connection with a case registered under sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) at Police Station Handwara.
The authorities said further investigation into the matter is underway.
