SRINAGAR: A woman was rescued from the River Jhelum in Srinagar on Friday after she allegedly attempted suicide due to family-related issues, officials said.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Quick Response Team (QRT), already conducting a search operation in the river, noticed the incident and acted promptly to save her.
The woman was immediately provided assistance after the rescue. Her identity and medical condition were not immediately known.
