Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has initiated the distribution of textbooks for the new academic session, with officials confirming that the material has already been made available and dispatch to various institutions is currently underway.
Emphasising the government’s commitment to equitable learning opportunities, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Naseer Ahmad Wani, said the administration is focused on ensuring quality education for every child across the Valley. He reiterated that no school is permitted to overcharge parents or prescribe textbooks that have not been officially approved.
Wani added that private educational institutions must strictly follow NCERT guidelines and adhere to the regulated fee structure laid down by the authorities. “Schools are bound to comply with the norms. Any deviation, including prescribing unapproved books or imposing unjustified fees, will invite strict action,” he said.
