A disturbing incident has unfolded with the death of former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash, where his son, Kartik, has accused his mother, Pallavi, of being responsible for the killing. Sources revealed that Pallavi, who had been suffering from severe mental health problems, allegedly believed her husband might harm her. She frequently expressed fear, claiming that Om Prakash had threatened her with a gun on several occasions.

Family members disclosed that Pallavi often experienced delusions and anxiety, driven by irrational fears. Based on Kartik’s report, the police have filed charges against Pallavi and her daughter, Kruti, in connection with Om Prakash’s death. The retired officer was discovered dead at his Bengaluru residence with multiple stab wounds to his stomach and neck.

According to the police, the body was found lying in a pool of blood when authorities arrived at the scene. The investigation suggests that the cause of death may have been internal bleeding from sharp weapon injuries. The police were alerted about the murder at around 4:30 pm on Sunday, and initial findings point to a violent attack with a sharp object leading to significant blood loss, which caused his death.

Pallavi had reportedly been battling schizophrenia for over 12 years and had been undergoing treatment. This tragic event underscores the severe consequences that can arise from untreated mental health issues, particularly when coupled with delusional thoughts and irrational fears.
