Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday alleged that police in Srinagar prevented him and other party members from holding a press conference or a sit-in protest over the detention of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik.Singh, who is currently in the city, said that the party had planned to raise its voice against Malik’s detention but was not allowed to proceed with the programme. “We were not even permitted to hold a press conference to convey our stand,” he told reporters.
