Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, along with the Director, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), on Thursday conducted an on-the-spot review of ongoing infrastructure upgradation and assessed key developmental requirements of the premier health institution.

During the visit, the DC took stock of facilities requiring inter-departmental coordination to enhance patient care and streamline hospital operations. Officials from concerned departments briefed the DC on current projects, existing gaps, and timelines for proposed improvements.

The review also focused on traffic decongestion measures within and around the SKIMS campus to ensure hassle-free movement of patients, attendants, and emergency vehicles. The DC emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among line departments to regulate traffic flow, improve signage, and strengthen access routes, particularly during peak hours.
