New Delhi/Abu Dhabi, April 21:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the 17th Civil Services Day programme in New Delhi, where he lauded the role of India’s civil servants in nation-building and emphasized the need for a citizen-centric approach in governance.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister urged officers to embrace innovation, maintain integrity, and ensure transparency in public service. “Civil servants are the backbone of our administration and play a crucial role in transforming policies into impactful outcomes,” Modi said. The event also saw the presentation of awards recognizing outstanding contributions by civil servants across various sectors.

Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force (IAF) is showcasing its strength and strategic capabilities at Exercise Desert Flag-10, a multinational air combat drill currently underway in the United Arab Emirates. India has deployed its frontline aircraft, including the MiG-29 and Jaguar fighters, to the exercise, which features participation from air forces of 10 other countries.

The drill aims to enhance interoperability, exchange tactical knowledge, and strengthen defense ties among participating nations.

These developments highlight India’s dual focus on strong governance and robust defense preparedness on the global stage.
