SAMBA/JAMMU, Aug 3: Three rusted artillery shells were discovered and safely destroyed in a controlled explosion in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, police said.
According to officials, local residents spotted the abandoned shells along the banks of the Basantar River near Palth village and promptly alerted the authorities.
A bomb disposal squad was dispatched to the site, and the shells were later neutralized through a controlled detonation, ensuring no damage or injuries occurred, they added.
