SRINAGAR — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday hailed the Indian Armed Forces’ tri-services missile operation—codenamed Operation Sindoor—as a decisive and powerful response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.

Speaking at a high-level security review held at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar, LG Sinha said the precision strikes demonstrated the nation’s unwavering resolve to combat terrorism. “No matter where terrorists seek refuge, our forces will pursue and bring them to justice,” he asserted.

The security meeting, chaired virtually by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, was attended by senior officials including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat. The review came just hours after India launched 24 targeted missile strikes across the border, hitting nine terror training camps.

According to LG Sinha, the camps destroyed were operated by Pakistan-based terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, long held responsible for orchestrating violence in the region. “These strikes are a testament to the bravery and precision of our forces. The message is clear—those who sponsor or carry out terror attacks will face decisive consequences,” he said.
