Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday presented a ₹1.13 lakh crore Budget for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2026–27 in the UT Assembly.
The total net Budget Estimates stand at ₹1,13,767 crore, excluding provisions for ways and means advances and overdraft. Of the total outlay, ₹80,640 crore has been allocated for revenue expenditure, while ₹33,127 crore is earmarked for capital expenditure.
Revenue receipts are projected at ₹90,018 crore, with capital receipts estimated at ₹23,749 crore. The UT’s own tax and non-tax revenues are expected to generate ₹31,800 crore.
The Budget also factors in ₹42,752 crore as central assistance and ₹13,400 crore under Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
This marks Omar Abdullah’s second Budget as Chief Minister. He had presented his first Budget of ₹1.12 lakh crore on March 7, 2025, which included welfare initiatives such as free bus travel for women.
