SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday accused PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti of facilitating the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A by aligning with the BJP.
Speaking at a rally in Rangreth, Omar said, “Mehbooba Mufti implemented the GST, brought the BJP to Jammu and Kashmir, and laid the groundwork for the abrogation of Article 370. What did we gain from that?”
He added that Mehbooba has no moral ground to criticize others when her own actions harmed the region. “She never apologised for the 2016 unrest or for joining hands with the BJP,” Omar said.
Drawing a comparison with the Left, he remarked, “When the Left denied Jyoti Basu the Prime Minister’s post, they admitted it was a historical mistake. Why can’t Mehbooba admit hers?”
