New Delhi, Nov 10:
Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma has accused former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of “twisting facts” after the latter denied holding meetings with BJP leaders in Delhi.
Sharma claimed that Abdullah had earlier admitted to being offered a position by the BJP, which he said he had rejected. “The videos are clear—Omar Abdullah cannot twist facts after swearing on the Quran. Truth doesn’t change with political convenience,” Sharma asserted in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The controversy stems from reports that Omar Abdullah, vice president of the National Conference (NC), held closed-door meetings with BJP leaders in the national capital. While Abdullah has publicly denied any such engagement, Sharma insists that “there is visual and verbal evidence” confirming the interactions.
