24th April 2025: Following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22nd April 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed strong support for the steps taken by the Indian government to address the violence and ensure the safety of civilians in the region. In a statement delivered after an All-Party meeting in the aftermath of the attack, CM Abdullah lauded the Union Government’s swift action and urged for continued collaboration in combating terrorism.
“We, the participants of the All Party meeting of Jammu and Kashmir, are deeply shocked and anguished by the recent barbaric attack. We unequivocally condemn it, and we also extend our full support to the steps announced by the Union Government yesterday,” Abdullah remarked, underscoring the importance of a coordinated response to the crisis.
