Jammu, Jan 17- Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, along with IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti, on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements at MA Stadium for the upcoming UT-level Republic Day 2026 celebrations.
During the inspection, the Div Com and IGP assessed preparations related to security, traffic management, seating arrangements, sanitation, power supply, drinking water, medical facilities, and emergency contingency measures. They directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure smooth, safe, and hassle-free conduct of the national event.
Emphasising the importance of foolproof security, the officers instructed the police and allied agencies to strengthen surveillance and traffic regulation plans. Special focus was also laid on crowd management, cleanliness, uninterrupted power and water supply, and availability of adequate medical and emergency response teams.
The authorities reiterated that Republic Day celebrations are a prestigious event and called upon all departments to maintain high standards of preparedness and professionalism to ensure a seamless experience for participants and spectators alike.
