Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday addressed leading stakeholders from the travel and tourism sector of Maharashtra and felicitated prominent travel agents and tourism associations for their contribution to promoting tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister called upon travel trade leaders to partner with the Jammu and Kashmir government in projecting the Union Territory as a safe, vibrant and all-season tourism destination. He подчеркed the immense potential of J&K beyond its traditional tourist seasons, highlighting opportunities in adventure tourism, winter sports, pilgrimage tourism and eco-tourism.
Omar Abdullah assured the travel fraternity of the government’s continued commitment to strengthening infrastructure, improving connectivity and ensuring the safety and comfort of tourists. He said that sustained collaboration with tour operators and travel associations across the country is vital for restoring confidence and expanding tourist inflow to the region.
