Jammu & Kashmir, June 20:
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary has extended his greetings to devotees ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra, set to commence on July 3.
“Congratulations to all on the occasion of Baba Amarnath Yatra,” Choudhary said, describing the pilgrimage as a major spiritual and cultural event. “Every time the yatra is held in Jammu and Kashmir, full preparations are made to ensure its smooth conduct,” he added.
The Deputy CM also mentioned that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has chaired meetings with officials to review and finalize arrangements for the 38-day-long pilgrimage.
Acknowledging the simultaneous observance of Moharram, Choudhary said, “Preparations are in place for both events, and efforts are being made to ensure that all communities can observe their religious practices peacefully.”
The Amarnath Yatra, which attracts thousands of pilgrims annually, is scheduled to begin on July 3 and will continue for 38 days.
