Srinagar, May 6: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday strongly condemned the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, urging the government to take firm action against those responsible.
Addressing the media in Srinagar, Owaisi said the attack had negatively impacted tourism in the Valley and stressed the need for swift justice.
“This attack has cast a shadow over Kashmir’s tourism sector. We have demanded strict measures against the perpetrators, both publicly and during the all-party meeting,” he said.
Owaisi expressed deep sorrow over the targeting of tourists based on their religion, describing the incident as deeply disturbing.
“It was a cowardly act. Terrorists from Pakistan brutally killed 26 tourists. What is even more heartbreaking is that they reportedly separated women and children, questioned the men about their religion, and murdered those unable to recite the ‘Kalma’. I have always opposed such barbaric acts and will continue to do so,” he added.
