Srinagar: The Sinthan Top route, connecting Anantnag to Kishtwar via National Highway 244, will remain closed for two days following fresh snowfall in the region.
Authorities said that the decision to suspend vehicular movement was taken after overnight snow blanketed Sinthan Pass. With the Meteorological Department predicting more adverse weather, officials have temporarily halted traffic on the Anantnag-Sinthan-Kishtwar stretch for today and tomorrow.
The road will be reopened once conditions improve and it is deemed safe for travel, officials added
