Srinagar, June 4: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, on Thursday attended the ‘Rishiwar’ Inter-Faith Conference 2026 held in Srinagar, where he highlighted India’s long-standing tradition of religious harmony, pluralism, and coexistence.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said that the idea of honoring all faiths equally has been deeply woven into the fabric of India’s philosophy for thousands of years. He emphasized that while many nations across the world continue to grapple with the challenge of peaceful coexistence among diverse communities, diversity has always been India’s natural rhythm of life.
“India’s civilizational ethos teaches respect for all faiths and beliefs. The principle of embracing diversity and fostering mutual understanding has guided our society for millennia,” Shri Sinha said.
