Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday conveyed his deep concern following the devastating landslide and flash floods that affected the Ramban region.
Taking to social media platform X, the Chief Minister stated:
“Deeply saddened by the landslide and flash flood in Ramban, which have led to significant loss of life and property. My heartfelt sympathies are with all those impacted during this difficult time.”
He further assured the public that the government is actively coordinating with local authorities:
“We are maintaining close contact with the district administration to facilitate swift rescue operations wherever necessary. I will be reviewing the plans for relief, restoration, and repair later today,” he mentioned.
Emphasizing public safety, the post added:
“At present, our priority is to stabilize the situation on the ground. People are urged to adhere to official travel advisories and avoid unnecessary movement in areas prone to risk.”
