BRO Chief Calls on J&K Chief Minister, Discusses Road Infrastructure Projects

Srinagar, June 4: Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, AVSM, VSM, Director General of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), accompanied by Brigadier Chirag Ghura, Chief Engineer, Project Beacon, called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday.

According to the Office of the Chief Minister, the meeting focused on ongoing and future road infrastructure projects across Jammu and Kashmir. The discussions reviewed the progress of key connectivity initiatives and explored measures to strengthen the region’s transportation network.

Road infrastructure remains a critical component of Jammu and Kashmir’s development strategy, particularly in improving connectivity to remote and border areas, facilitating economic growth, and enhancing access to essential services. During the interaction, emphasis was laid on the timely execution of road projects and the importance of continued coordination between the government and the Border Roads Organisation.
