SRINAGAR, — As part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme (CAP) aimed at youth engagement and empowerment, Srinagar Police on Monday organised a comprehensive Career Counselling Programme for students at the Government Degree College (Women), Batpora.
The event witnessed the presence of senior officers of Srinagar Police, including SP Hazratbal, SP Headquarters, SDPO Zakura, and DySP Headquarters, whose participation added significant value to the programme. The officers interacted closely with the students, offering detailed insights into various academic and professional career avenues.
During the sessions, police officials highlighted opportunities available at the local, national, and international levels. They underscored the importance of informed decision-making, dedication, discipline, and continuous skill development in achieving career goals. Special attention was given to competitive examinations, government job prospects, and emerging fields shaped by rapid technological growth.
Students actively participated in the interactive discussions, posing insightful questions and showing keen interest in exploring diverse career paths. The programme helped enhance their confidence and provided clarity on future goals.
The Principal, staff, and students of GDC Women Batpora expressed gratitude to Srinagar Police for conducting the initiative, noting that such programmes are vital in guiding young minds, especially in underserved areas. Police officials also distributed mementos among the faculty and students.
Reaffirming its commitment to community engagement, education, and youth welfare, Srinagar Police stated that similar initiatives will continue under the CAP umbrella to strengthen police–public relations and support the aspirations of the younger generation.
