Chandigarh, April 26:
Jammu and Kashmir Minister Sakina Itoo on Saturday visited Chandigarh to meet Kashmiri students following reports of tension among them.

Speaking to the media, Itoo said that some debate among students had led to anxiety among both students and their parents. “The students are a little tense because there was some debate among them. The parents of some students are also tense and are calling their children home,” she said.

The minister noted that with examinations approaching, additional pressure was building up. She urged the administration to consider conducting exams either online or adjusting the schedule — holding them earlier or later — to accommodate the students’ situation.

Itoo emphasized the need to support the students during this period and assured that the administration was being apprised of the concerns.
