SRINAGAR: Massive protests broke out in Safapora, Ganderbal district, after a young woman was allegedly raped and murdered at her in-laws’ residence.Locals, who initially believed it was an accident, were outraged after the post-mortem reportedly indicated murder.
“We rushed there and found her dead. It was not natural,” said a resident.Protesters raised slogans demanding justice, calling for the death penalty for those responsible.
SP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal confirmed the case is being investigated as murder. “All samples have been collected; no one will get bail. Even those aiding the accused will face action,” he said.
