Kashmir, December 19 — The week-long public outreach initiative “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” under Sushasan Saptah (Good Governance Week) commenced across the Kashmir Division with overwhelming participation from the general public on [day/date].
The programme witnessed active engagement from residents in several districts, including Kulgam, Srinagar and Budgam, where people turned out in large numbers to avail government services and interact directly with district and sectoral officers. Visuals from these districts reflected enthusiastic public response, underscoring the success of the initiative at the grassroots level.
The primary focus of the programme is to strengthen last-mile service delivery by taking the administration to the doorsteps of the people. Through dedicated camps and outreach activities, residents were facilitated to access a wide range of government schemes, welfare benefits, public services, and grievance redressal mechanisms locally, reducing the need for repeated visits to government offices.
Officials from various departments addressed public grievances on the spot, provided information about ongoing and upcoming schemes, and assisted eligible beneficiaries with registrations and documentation. Special emphasis was laid on transparency, accountability, and time-bound delivery of services, in line with the objectives of Good Governance Week.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between the administration and citizens, promote participatory governance, and ensure that the benefits of government policies reach every section of society, particularly those in rural and far-flung areas.
Sushasan Saptah will continue across the division throughout the week, with similar outreach programmes planned in other districts to further reinforce citizen-centric governance and responsive administration.
