Srinagar, Friday: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Friday reviewed the performance of banks in the implementation of various government-sponsored schemes and stressed the need for accelerated priority sector lending and improved customer service.
Chairing a review meeting, the DC took stock of progress achieved under key welfare and livelihood schemes and assessed banks’ role in extending credit to eligible beneficiaries. He emphasized that timely and adequate financing is crucial for the effective implementation of these schemes and for strengthening the local economy.
