SRINAGAR: A Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) team arrived in Kashmir on Saturday to assess losses from recent floods triggered by heavy rains. Officials said the team will inspect affected areas, review relief measures, and meet local authorities.
Earlier this week, floods inundated parts of south and central Kashmir after the Jhelum River overflowed, damaging homes, infrastructure, and crops. While no casualties were reported, agriculture and horticulture—especially paddy fields and apple orchards—suffered major losses.
