Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday designated Additional Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, Anil Sharma as the coordinator and liaison officer for facilitating travel-related coordination of students from Jammu and Kashmir currently studying in Iran.
According to an official order, Anil Sharma will coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, and other concerned agencies to ensure smooth communication and necessary facilitation for J&K students in Iran.
The move comes in view of ensuring timely assistance, coordination, and support to students from the Union Territory, particularly in matters related to travel, evacuation, or other requirements arising due to the prevailing situation.
