Mendhar, July 20: Minister Javed Ahmed Rana on Sunday visited the rain and landslide-affected areas of Balakote and Mendhar to assess the extent of the damage caused by recent heavy downpours.
During his visit, the Minister interacted with affected families and assured them of full government support under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He emphasized that all possible assistance will be extended to the victims to help them recover from the calamity.
Minister Rana directed concerned departments to ensure swift relief and rehabilitation measures. He further stressed the need for sustainable restoration efforts, instructing officials to plan long-term infrastructure improvements to prevent future vulnerabilities.
The visit underlined the government’s commitment to providing timely aid and addressing the hardships faced by residents in disaster-hit regions.
