June 22, 2025Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that American military forces have joined Israel in conducting coordinated airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that the U.S. targeted three major nuclear sites in Iran — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — describing the operation as a “very successful attack.”
“The heavily fortified Fordow facility is gone,” Trump claimed, adding that American military aircraft involved in the mission were already en route back to their bases. He concluded his post with a call for diplomacy: “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”
Later, in a brief televised address from the Oval Office, Trump warned Iran that its future hinges on a critical choice between “peace or tragedy,” and emphasized that other targets remained within U.S. military reach if provocation continued.
“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” he asserted during the three-minute broadcast. The move to join Israel’s military campaign against Iran is widely seen as a dramatic shift and a potential turning point in the long-standing conflict over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
