In a heartfelt gesture, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to the family of Syed Adil Hussain Shah, a courageous young man who sacrificed his life while saving tourists during a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Adil Hussain Shah, hailed as a hero, was among the local residents who rushed to assist a group of tourists caught in the sudden attack. Without regard for his own safety, he attempted to lead the tourists to a safer area. Tragically, he was critically injured during the attack and later succumbed to his injuries.

Recognizing his extraordinary bravery and selflessness, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed deep condolences to Shah’s family and praised his heroism. “Syed Adil Hussain Shah’s actions are a shining example of humanity and courage. His sacrifice will not be forgotten,” Shinde stated while announcing the financial support.

The aid is intended to provide some relief to Shah’s grieving family as they cope with their irreparable loss. Political leaders, local authorities, and citizens across the country have also paid tribute to Shah, calling him a symbol of unity and resilience against terrorism.

The incident has once again highlighted the spirit of ordinary citizens who rise to extraordinary heights in times of crisis, showcasing courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the safety of others.
