Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Sunday issued a fresh weather update for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting mostly dry weather conditions across the Union Territory over the coming days, with intermittent spells of light rain and thunderstorms expected during the third week of May.

According to the MeT Centre, weather conditions on May 17 and 18 are expected to remain generally dry across Jammu and Kashmir.

However, from May 19 to 21, the region is likely to witness partly cloudy skies accompanied by spells of light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds at a few to many places, particularly during afternoon and evening hours.

The weather department further predicted that from May 22 to 25, conditions will remain generally dry during the forenoon, while brief showers may occur at a few places towards afternoon and evening hours.

From May 26 to 28, the weather is again expected to stay generally dry across the Union Territory.

The MeT Centre has advised people, especially farmers and travelers, to stay updated with the latest forecasts and advisories in view of possible gusty winds and brief rain spells during the week.
