Srinagar, Sept 21: A team from the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), accompanied by the Commissioner/Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department, today called on the Chief Minister to discuss the preparation of the Master Plan for Ganderbal.
The Chief Minister underscored the need for sustainable urban growth and economic empowerment while reviewing key components of the proposed plan. The discussions focused on sewerage and drainage systems, flood management, transport infrastructure, waste management, youth engagement, heritage conservation, and disaster preparedness.
Highlighting the importance of balancing development with ecological preservation, the Chief Minister stressed that the Master Plan should cater to present requirements while safeguarding resources for future generations.
Officials from the Housing & Urban Development Department and SPA assured that the plan will incorporate modern planning practices while addressing the unique challenges of Ganderbal.
