Kulgam, Nov 8:
In a major counter-terror operation aimed at dismantling the ecosystem of terror and subversive activities, Kulgam Police have launched a massive crackdown on Jammu and Kashmir nationals reportedly operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

According to official sources, the operation targets individuals involved in sustaining terror networks from across the border, along with their local associates and relatives. Multiple Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) were carried out in various parts of Kulgam district as part of the intensified drive.

Police said several Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and relatives of militants have been booked under relevant sections of law for their alleged involvement in supporting or facilitating terror-related activities.

A senior police officer confirmed that the crackdown is part of a broader strategy to choke the channels of communication, funding, and recruitment that have been aiding terror groups in the region. “The action aims to dismantle the entire support system—both local and cross-border—that fuels militancy in Kashmir,” the officer added.
