Srinagar:
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast largely stable weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir till January 21, with only light snowfall expected over scattered areas on January 16, 19, and 20.

According to the latest weather update shared by the MeT Centre, no significant weather disturbance is likely during this period. However, residents may witness brief spells of light snow at isolated places, particularly in higher reaches.

A change in weather is expected from January 22 to January 24, during which light to moderate rain or snowfall is likely at most places across the Union Territory. The forecast also indicates the possibility of moderate to heavy rain or snowfall over a few districts of the Chenab Valley and South Kashmir during this period.

The MeT Department has advised people, especially those planning to travel through hilly and snow-prone areas, to remain cautious and stay updated with the latest weather advisories. Authorities may also review preparedness measures in vulnerable regions in view of the anticipated weather activity.

Further updates will be issued as the situation evolves.
