SRINAGAR, Sept 21: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday joined a large-scale cleanliness drive at the iconic Dal Lake.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials, volunteers, and locals, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to preserving the water body, often referred to as the “jewel of Kashmir.”
Over the last five years, extensive work for the conservation of Dal and Nigeen Lakes, along with efforts in the catchment areas, has been carried out in a mission mode. Officials said the sustained initiatives have significantly improved the ecological condition of the lake.
