SRINAGAR: Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo lauded doctors and healthcare workers for their crucial role during the recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir.
She said their dedication in delivering emergency care under harsh conditions saved many lives and eased the suffering of affected families.
“Doctors and health staff stood at the forefront, providing timely assistance when it was needed most,” she noted.
Itoo emphasized that disasters expose gaps in preparedness and called for stronger health infrastructure, including mobile units and disaster-response training, to ensure swift medical aid in vulnerable areas.
