Four Held for Assault on Tourist in J&K’s Doda

Srinagar: Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district have detained four people in connection with the alleged assault of a tourist in the Bhaderwah area, officials said.

According to a report by Daily Excelsior, the action followed a written complaint lodged at Police Station Bhaderwah by Suresh Kumar of Nagni Bhalra. Acting to prevent any escalation, police initiated preventive proceedings under Sections 126 and 170 of the BNSS.

Those detained have been identified as Javed Iqbal and Owais Ahmed of Kholra Basti, Bhaderwah; Khursheed Ahmed of Nalthi, Bhaderwah; and Avinash Manhas of Nalthi, Tehsil Bhaderwah.
