Srinagar, May 24:
A delegation of former Presidents of Coordination Committees of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of Kashmir, led by Shri Mohammed Iqbal Ahangar, called on the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today to discuss several pressing public concerns.
The delegation brought to the LG’s attention various issues, including the relief and rehabilitation of families affected by cross-border shelling from Pakistan, challenges in the tourism sector, and preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
In addition, Shri Ajaz Kazmi, Trade Union President of the J&K Apni Party, also met the Lieutenant Governor to raise labour-related concerns. Representatives from the All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations, Baramulla, and a public delegation led by Shri Mohammad Faheem Reshi, Chairman of the social organisation Greater Shahr-e-Khaas, also called on the LG to discuss various developmental and social welfare issues.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the delegations of appropriate action and reiterated the administration’s commitment to addressing public grievances effectively.
