Amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah chaired a high-level meeting with members of the Civil Society in Jammu on Thursday, as part of the government’s outreach to strengthen the region’s response to the ongoing crisis.

Describing the meeting as “productive,” the Office of the Chief Minister stated via social media that the discussions focused on gathering valuable suggestions from community leaders and stakeholders to ensure a more coordinated and timely approach to the current challenges facing the Union Territory.
“Grateful for their valuable suggestions to strengthen our collective and timely response during the ongoing crisis. United efforts will see us through,” the Chief Minister’s Office posted on X (formerly Twitter).
