Vaishno Devi Yatra Suspended for Eighth Day Due to Bad Weather

SRINAGAR: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra remained suspended for the eighth straight day on Tuesday as heavy rain, landslides, and flash floods continued to hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.Pilgrim movement from the Katra base camp has been halted for safety reasons, leaving the usually crowded area deserted. Authorities and the Shrine Board said restoration of damaged routes is underway and the situation is being monitored.
