Srinagar, May 17: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has confirmed that the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border with Pakistan is currently holding, with no reports of violations from either front.
Speaking to reporters, Abdullah said, “As of now, there is a ceasefire. There are no reports of ceasefire violations either at the border or along the Line of Control. An assessment of the damage that was caused is being carried out. Once we receive the damage assessment report, we will move forward with a compensation package.”
“It is a good move. After the attack on Parliament during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, similar delegations were sent to various countries. This time too, representatives from all major political parties have been included in the delegations,” he noted.
