Jammu, May 30:Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday chaired a high-level review meeting in Jammu to evaluate the security arrangements and overall preparedness for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
The meeting focused on ensuring a smooth and safe pilgrimage for thousands of devotees expected to participate in the annual yatra to the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jammu and Kashmir administration, security agencies, and intelligence bodies attended the meeting.Shah directed all agencies to work in close coordination to ensure foolproof security, seamless logistical arrangements, and quick response mechanisms during the pilgrimage.
