SINGAPORE, May 27: An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, currently on an official visit to Singapore, met with a senior Singaporean minister on Monday to brief him on India’s evolving policy to combat terrorism.
The delegation, led by Janata Dal (United) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, outlined India’s position in the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the launch of Operation Sindoor, and the broader shift toward what officials are calling the “new normal” in the country’s counter-terrorism approach.
The Indian representatives emphasized New Delhi’s firm resolve to tackle terrorism through a multi-dimensional strategy involving security operations, diplomatic efforts, and international cooperation.
The delegation arrived in Singapore from South Korea as part of a regional outreach initiative aimed at strengthening strategic ties and fostering dialogue on security and regional stability.
The Singaporean minister appreciated India’s transparent communication and reiterated Singapore’s commitment to collaborating with global partners in the fight against terrorism.
