Pulwama, Aug 21: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chowdhary on Thursday visited the SIDCO Industrial Complex, Lassipora, where he interacted with a delegation of industrialists and officers to review ongoing issues and developmental requirements of the estate.
During the meeting, the Deputy CM assured the industrialists of government support in addressing their concerns related to infrastructure, power supply, and other facilities essential for industrial growth. He emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the industrial sector in Pulwama to boost employment and economic opportunities in the region.
Later, Chowdhary also inspected Nallah Rambi Ara in Lassipora to take stock of the condition of its major irrigation canals, which have reportedly suffered extensive damage due to excessive mining. He directed the concerned departments to assess the situation and take immediate measures for restoration to ensure uninterrupted irrigation facilities to adjoining agricultural areas.
