New Delhi, Aug 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed deep concern over the cloudburst and flooding that struck Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said his “thoughts and prayers” were with those affected by the disaster. He assured that the situation was being closely monitored and that rescue and relief operations were underway.
“Every possible assistance will be provided to those in need,” he stated.
The cloudburst has triggered flooding in parts of Kishtwar, causing damage and disrupting normal life. Authorities have mobilised rescue teams to evacuate people from affected areas and provide relief to victims.
