Seoul, May 20: India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with Lee Yong-chul in Seoul, where the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and expanding collaboration in the defence manufacturing sector.

During the meeting, both leaders agreed to harness their “symbiotic efforts” to create new avenues for joint development, joint production and joint exports in the defence sector, according to statements shared by the Indian Defence Minister.

The discussions focused on enhancing strategic cooperation between India and South Korea, particularly in defence technology, industrial partnerships and military manufacturing capabilities. The meeting is being viewed as an important step towards deepening defence ties between the two countries amid evolving regional and global security challenges.
